Bring it 2017!

It’s cute, and it’s FREE!

Remember how I haven’t written in forever? I AM SO SORRY! But for those of you who read my last post, isn’t my husband awesome? We’ll periodically include more updates about our struggles and journey, but we also want to share some of our talents with you. Because after all, being ‘awesome’ includes the good, the bad, and everything in between!

If theres one thing I love, it’s cute designs. I’ve taken quite a few graphic design classes and I recently decided that I might as well start making my own home decor. Which is great for you guys, because it helps me think of fun projects to share with you…FOR FREE! (Two of the best words in the English language)

For this new year one of my resolutions was to get my crap together and become more organized! There was one point in my life when I would use a planner every single day and plan out each hour. It was astounding how much I could get done when I held myself accountable for my time! I don’t think that I can currently handle that much planning, but I can for sure do one thing: keep an updated calendar.

After looking for awhile, I was unable to find a calendar that had exactly what I was looking for. I love simplistic designs with just a little pop of color. I also knew I wanted plenty of room to write in the individual squares, as well as a section for further notes.

After much deliberation, I made what I feel to be the perfect calendar! I could not wait to get this sucker printed, bound and on the wall.

How to Print

This calendar was designed to be 11×15 inches. I uploaded my pdf file (provided below) to Office Max’s website, under the copy/fliers section. I then selected for my calendar to be printed on 11×17 card stock paper, which cost me about $13.50. After picking up my order at Office Max I used their paper cutter to cut an inch off each side, making my calendar 11×15. To finish it off, I punched two holes at the top of the calendar and strung some twine through so I could hang it on the wall.

The whole process was super easy! Believe me, if I can do it then so can you! And if you have a goal to get organized this year, this is a super easy way to get started!

Happy 2017 everyone! Whatever your resolutions, just believe in yourself and you’ll kill it out there!
